Your day stays yours.
The short version. Ownra is built to collect as little as possible. What you write — your reflections, intentions, and progress — stays on your device. We don't run a server that holds it, we have no account system, and we keep no copy of it. We can't read your entries. If you subscribe, we receive information about the subscription itself — never about what you wrote.
Who we are
Ownra is operated by Ownra LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company ("Ownra," "we," "us"). For any privacy question, reach us at privacy@ownra.app.
What the app stores
Everything you enter in Ownra is saved in local storage on your device only. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. Because it lives on your device, you control it directly: edit or delete entries in the app at any time. If you uninstall Ownra or clear its data, those entries are gone — we have no backup to restore from.
What we don't do
- No accounts, logins, or profiles.
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No selling or renting of your information.
- No behavioral analytics — we don't measure how you move through the app.
- No tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.
- No collecting your reflections, location, contacts, or browsing activity.
Subscriptions and payments
If you subscribe to Ownra's premium features, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment card or billing details. Apple processes the transaction under its own privacy policy. We may receive anonymized, aggregated sales reports from Apple that do not identify you.
We use RevenueCat, a subscription management service, to verify purchases with Apple and tell the app which features to unlock. When you start a trial, subscribe, renew, or cancel, RevenueCat receives:
- The purchase record: product, date, price and currency, and whether it's active, in trial, expired, or cancelled.
- An anonymous identifier RevenueCat generates for your installation of the app.
- Basic technical context that arrives with the transaction: app version, platform, country or region, and locale.
RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, phone number, or anything you've written in the app. The identifier is anonymous, and there is no account system to connect it back to you.
This information is used for two purposes only: unlocking the paid features you've purchased, and understanding subscription totals in aggregate. It is not used for advertising or profiling. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
This website
The Ownra website (ownra.app) uses no cookies, no analytics, and no trackers. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliable operation. We do not use these logs to identify you or build any profile.
Children
Ownra is made for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, note that no entries leave the device for us to hold.
Your choices
Because your data stays on your device, you manage it yourself — review, change, or remove any entry directly in the app, or clear all of it by deleting the app. If you have a question about this policy, email privacy@ownra.app.
For subscriptions, you can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings — Apple handles refunds directly. To request deletion of the anonymous subscription record we hold, email privacy@ownra.app. Apple keeps its own transaction records, which we cannot delete on your behalf.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a revised effective date. Continued use of Ownra after an update means you accept the current version.
