01 Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Ownra LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company ("Ownra," "we," "us"). By downloading or using the Ownra app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

02 You must be an adult

Ownra is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. Ownra is not directed to and is not intended for children, and you may not use it on behalf of anyone under 18.

03 What Ownra is — and your license to use it

Ownra is a daily mental discipline app: it prompts you to separate what you can control from what you can't, set a focus for the day, and reflect in the evening. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time.

04 Not medical or mental-health advice

Ownra is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Nothing in the app should be relied on as professional advice. If you are in crisis, or think you may be experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services right away. Your use of Ownra is your own decision and responsibility.

05 Subscriptions and billing

Ownra offers optional premium features through an auto-renewing subscription, billed through your Apple App Store account. Current pricing is $4.99 per month or $34.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers; the exact price and any offer are shown at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings, not in the app. Payments, refunds, and renewals are handled by Apple under its terms; we don't control them. Prices may change, and we'll give notice of changes as required.

06 Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app — including copying, reselling, reverse-engineering, or attempting to extract its source code, interfering with its operation, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

07 Your content and our content

Anything you write in Ownra is yours. Because your entries stay on your device and are never sent to us, we don't access, store, or claim any rights to them. The Ownra app itself — including its design, text, prompts, name, and logo — belongs to Ownra LLC and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not use the Ownra name or branding without our permission.

08 No warranties

Ownra is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular result for you.

09 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ownra LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the app. To the extent any liability is found despite the above, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty U.S. dollars ($20). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10 Arbitration and class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully — it affects how disputes are resolved. You and Ownra LLC agree that any dispute relating to these Terms or the app will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You and Ownra each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. Arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis only.

Your right to opt out: you may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@ownra.app within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating your intent to opt out. Opting out won't affect any other part of these Terms.

11 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration agreement above.

12 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the revised version here with a new effective date. If the changes are material, we'll make that clear. Continuing to use Ownra after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
